Boxed lunch menu
One sealed, labelled box per person: a main, a side and something sweet. Built for working lunches, site visits and teams where half the room has a dietary need.
How a box is built
Every box has three parts. Choose a main (a sandwich, wrap or grain bowl), a side (a salad or chips) and a sweet (a cookie, square or fruit cup). Drinks can be added per box or delivered as a shared cooler.
Each box carries a label with the guest's name (if you send a list), the main dish, and its dietary codes. That label is the main reason teams choose boxes over platters: nobody has to ask which wrap is the halal one, and a guest with an allergy does not have to trust a shared tray. The boxed lunches vs platters comparison covers when platters are the better call.
How many to order
Order one box per confirmed guest. If headcount is still moving, add two or three extra boxes that are vegan and nut-free by recipe, because those can be eaten by almost anyone. Do not over-order by 10–15% the way you might for a buffet: boxes are portioned, so the surplus becomes waste.
For groups above about 25, limit the order to four to six mains. Offering every item on the menu makes collecting choices slow and usually produces a few boxes nobody claims. A useful mix for 40 people is one chicken, one beef or fish, two vegetarian and one vegan and gluten-free option.
Food safety and holding time
Boxed lunches are cold food. They leave the kitchen chilled and are delivered in insulated carriers. General food safety guidance, including Health Canada's, is not to leave perishable food at room temperature for more than two hours, so plan to eat within two hours of delivery or put the boxes in a fridge. For a site visit or a bus tour, tell us and we will pack them with ice packs.
That is also why we time delivery close to your break rather than first thing in the morning. For a noon lunch, boxes typically arrive between 11:15 and 11:45.
Collecting orders from your team
The easiest workflow is a simple spreadsheet or form with three columns: name, main choice and allergies. Send it to us by the order deadline (48 hours before delivery), and we print a label per person. Late additions are fine as long as they come from the same short list of mains. For a weekly or monthly schedule, see recurring lunch programs.
Questions
About this menu
Can each box be labelled with a name?
Yes. Send a list with names, main choices and allergies before the order deadline, and every box is labelled with the guest name, dish and dietary codes.
How long can boxed lunches sit out?
Plan to eat within two hours of delivery, in line with general food safety guidance for perishable food, or refrigerate the boxes until the break.
Are the boxes recyclable or compostable?
Tell us your building's waste stream (Toronto Green Bin, recycling, or landfill only) and we will confirm which packaging is used for your order.
Can I order halal and vegan boxes in the same order?
Yes. That is the most common kind of order. Each box is sealed and labelled separately, and halal-sourced meat dishes are marked on the label.
What is the minimum for boxed lunch delivery?
Orders start at 15 boxes with 48 hours notice. The starting price per box is from $24 before HST.
