Corporate catering

Corporate catering in Toronto and the GTA

Food for the working day and the evenings around it: breakfast meetings, team lunches, all-day conferences, weekly meal programs and client receptions, cooked in our kitchen and delivered or served across Toronto and the GTA.

What we cater for companies

Corporate catering covers two very different jobs. One is feeding people who are working: the food has to arrive on time, be easy to eat between agenda items and be clearly labelled for every dietary need in the room. The other is hosting: a client reception or holiday party where the food and service are part of how your company is judged.

We split our corporate work into seven formats, each with its own page so you can see exactly how it runs:

Choosing a format for the occasion

Most corporate orders go wrong in the format, not the food. A buffet for 60 people with a 30-minute lunch break creates a queue that eats half the break. Boxed lunches at a client reception look like a training day. The table below is the starting point we use when an office manager calls with a date and a headcount.

Dietary needs in a workplace

A 40-person team in Toronto will almost always include some mix of vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free and allergy requirements, and people will not always tell the organizer in advance. We plan for that rather than reacting to it.

  • Collect needs before the order. We send a short list of questions you can forward to attendees, so special meals are ordered by name, not guessed.
  • Label everything. Every tray or box carries the dish name and its dietary tags, and allergen information is available for every item.
  • Make the default inclusive. On shared buffets we build at least one main that is vegetarian and one that is pork-free, so fewer people need a separate meal.

For halal, vegan and gluten-free menus, read how we handle each on the halal, vegan and plant-based and gluten-free pages. If your team needs a specific certification, tell us which one and we will confirm in writing what applies before you order.

Delivering to Toronto offices and GTA business parks

Delivery logistics differ sharply across Toronto and the GTA. Financial District and King West towers usually route caterers through a loading dock, a security desk and a freight elevator, which can add 15–25 minutes between the truck and your boardroom. Suburban offices in Mississauga, Markham or Vaughan are faster to unload but further to drive, so traffic on the 401, 404 and 427 sets the departure time.

When you order, we ask for the building address, the dock or entrance to use, the name of the person who will receive the delivery, and whether building management needs a certificate of insurance or a vendor sign-in in advance. We aim to arrive 30–45 minutes before food service so there is time to set up without rushing.

Drop-off orders need at least 48 hours notice and a minimum of 15 guests. Staffed events need 40 guests or more. See downtown Toronto, Mississauga and Markham for local delivery details.

What corporate catering costs in Toronto

Industry guides give a useful frame. elle cuisine's 2025–26 Toronto corporate cost guide puts breakfast and coffee breaks at about $5–$15 per person, corporate lunches at $20–$50 and evening receptions at $50–$150, with service charges often 15–20% on staffed events. Marketplace platforms such as LunchLink publish $15–$75 per person for office catering.

Our own starting prices are on each format page and on the pricing page. A quote from us shows the food, delivery ($45), staff time billed hourly ($38 per staff hour) where needed, the 18% service charge on staffed events, and 13% HST as separate lines, so your finance team can see what each dollar is for. If invoices need a PO number, cost centre or attendee list attached, tell us when you order.

Book December early

Corporate holiday parties cluster between mid-November and about December 20, and Thursday and Friday evenings in early December go first. If you are planning a staffed party, start the conversation in September or October.

Questions

Frequently asked

How far in advance should I order corporate catering?

Drop-off orders need at least 48 hours notice. For staffed events, receptions and conferences, two to four weeks is comfortable, and holiday parties in December should be booked months ahead.

What is the minimum order for office catering?

Drop-off orders start at 15 guests and staffed events at 40 guests. For smaller meetings, boxed lunches are usually the most practical option.

Do you deliver outside Toronto?

Yes, we deliver across Toronto and the GTA, including Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill and Oakville. Delivery fees and lead times for each area are listed on the service area pages.

Can you handle halal, vegan and gluten-free meals in the same order?

Yes. Special meals are ordered by name and labelled individually, and shared buffets include inclusive default options. Tell us the certification standard you need and we will confirm in writing what applies.

Is HST included in your prices?

No. Prices are shown before 13% HST, which applies to catered food and beverages in Ontario. Your quote shows HST as a separate line.

Do you set up the food or just drop it off?

Drop-off orders include setting the food out in your room with labels and serving utensils. For receptions or events where you want food served, replenished and cleared, choose full service with staff.
